The workshop focuses on detecting positive anomalies that might induce alternative ways in thinking and dealing with urban matter. Anomalies would be closely tied with the notion of de/re-programming spaces, enriching their life span with new embedded or add-on capacities. Observed conditions may be tied to the way a building???s initial program can betweaked or to the consideration of less visible phenomena that hold
critical value. A set of walks will survey highly contrasted day-time and night-time conditions in order to foster action ; particular attention will be given to the city???s sub-communicational system - street interfaces, space management, public behaviours - where use patterns often reveal themselves in fragmentary ways. Such observations spark up scenarios that could be devised and pursued by participants, thus contributing to another kind of urban knowledge by the means of scanning, scripting or supplementing.
