An Spanish rural leyend (urban-legend) says:
Placing water bottles avoids animal pissing.
All you have to do is to place the bottles where the animals (like cats) use to piss. I don't know if it really works, anyway you can find this action even in certain neigbourhoods of Madrid, where rural culture is still alive.
